Kitchen plumbing in East Kent
All the plumbing behind a kitchen: the sink and tap, the dishwasher and washing machine, the waste and the hot water. For a new kitchen we work alongside your fitter so the pipework is in the right place first time.
Kitchens, done properly
Kitchens are where small plumbing mistakes show up fast: a dishwasher that won’t drain, a waste that gurgles, a tap that drips onto a new worktop. We fit everything so it works quietly in the background and is easy to get at if it ever needs attention.
For a new kitchen, we do the first fix before the units go in, positioning supplies and wastes exactly where the plan needs them, then come back for the second fix to connect the sink, tap and appliances once the worktops are down.
Smaller jobs are just as welcome: a new tap, a boiling-water tap connection, a sink swap, or moving the washing machine to a utility room.
- Sinks fitted and plumbed, including Belfast and undermount sinks
- Kitchen taps, mixers and pull-down taps
- Dishwasher and washing machine connections
- Waste pipes and drainage, including new runs
- Isolation valves so each appliance can be turned off
- First and second fix for new kitchens
- Moving plumbing for a new layout or utility room

When to think about kitchens
Water under the sink
A damp cupboard base usually means a leaking waste, tap tail or connection. Worth catching before the unit swells.
Slow draining or gurgling
Often a poorly laid waste or a blockage further down the run.
A dripping or stiff tap
Worn cartridges and washers can be replaced; sometimes a new tap is the better fix.
Planning a new kitchen
Get the plumbing planned before the units arrive, so nothing has to be moved later.
Moving appliances
Want the washing machine out of the kitchen? We can run supplies and waste to a utility or garage.
No isolation valves
If you can’t turn off one appliance without shutting off the whole house, valves are a small, useful upgrade.

Everything run and checked for leaks and drainage before we leave.

Kitchens: your questions answered
The things people ask us most. If yours isn’t here, just message us.
Can you fit a new kitchen tap?
Yes. We remove the old tap, fit the new one with new flexible tails if needed, and check for leaks. If you’ve bought a tap already, we can fit that; if not, we can advise on one that suits your sink and water pressure.
Do you connect dishwashers and washing machines?
Yes: water supply, waste and an isolation valve so the appliance can be turned off on its own.
Do you work with kitchen fitters?
Yes. We regularly do the plumbing first and second fix for new kitchens, working around the fitter’s schedule so the job runs smoothly.
Can you move my sink to an island?
Often, yes. The main thing is getting the waste to fall correctly to the drain. We’ll look at the layout and tell you what’s possible before you commit.
What should I do if water is leaking under my sink?
Turn off the isolation valve under the sink (or the stopcock), put a bowl and towel down, and give us a call. Our leak-under-sink guide explains what to check first.
We cover Faversham, Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Thanet (Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate), Sandwich, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Ashford and Sittingbourne, and the villages and areas in between. See the areas we cover.
